Elizabeth Fry Kingston

The Elizabeth Fry Society of Kingston is a non-profit, volunteer based organization. We seek to improve the social, economical, and political status of women, and those who are socially and economically oppressed.

My experience with Elizabeth Fry Society through out the years has been very rewarding. I started out a broken individual with many anxieties and trauma related issues. Their safe space and programs helped me get out of my shell and start healing within. I have taken numerous programs with E Fry, learning how to manage my emotions, dealing with grief and loss, and helping me cope with my anger. Since doing these programs I have healed a tremendous amount and was able to feel more confident and comfortable in community settings again. This has enabled me to proceed with my life goals, accomplishing much more than I could have ever imagined. I now volunteer at Elizabeth Fry as a peer support worker helping other lovely ladies in need of healing. I am beyond grateful for the support and guidance I have received and highly recommend this safe space to other ladies.
