About Elizabeth Fry Kingston

Elizabeth Fry Kingston was established in 1949 by a group of eight women who began visiting women serving sentences in the Prison for Women. Over 70 years later, the agency is a long-standing, non-profit, charitable social service agency serving the greater Kingston area.

The Board of Directors and long-term dedicated staff have developed a high level of experience and expertise in dealing with women’s issues, particularly with women who have been or are at risk of coming into conflict with the law and in the area of homelessness and prevention.
